Hi,
My setup is:
-Gigabyte Brix pro i7 4770R
-Windows 7 64-bit
-Dell up2414q monitor connected with a DisplayPort cable
I would like to have the full resolution of 3840x2160 @ 60Hz. The display is 10-bit capable as well, I would like this to work but will settle for 8-bit.
With Intel HD graphic driver 10.18.10.3282 installed from the Gigabyte website:
-The monitor appears as two monitors
-Both tiles appear as 1920x2160 @ 60Hz
-I can run it in extended mode
-I tried using the Intel collage mode, but the first time it cause the BSOD, and the other times the driver just crashes when you hit apply
-If it Intel collage mode had worked I think this would have everything working like I want
With the newest Intel HD graphic drivers 15.36.7.64.3960 or the previous 15.36.3.64.3907
-The monitor appears as one 3840x2160 panel
-In the Intel control panel I can set it to 3840x2160 at 60Hz
-The monitor indicates it is receiving a 60Hz signal
-Moving the mouse around looks like 30Hz, much much less smooth than when running in extended mode under 10.18.10.3282
-Running Dxdiag.exe, and looking under display shows a resolution of 3840x2160 at 30Hz :-(
So to summarise, running the previous driver proves that the iris pro 5200 can drive the monitor at the full 3840x2160 @ 60Hz. I just can't get it to show it as one big screen, only two seperate monitors. And the newest drivers seem to have some weird issues.
Any help appreciated. It's a bit frustrating having such a monitor and not being able to use it as it was intended due to some software bug.
Thanks,
Deeksie
