The workaround mentioned above will only work at Windows startup. It will not work:
- when the display has been dimmed by Windows after 10 min. idle (default setting in Power Options)
- when resuming from standby or hibernate
- when resuming using Intel Rapid Start
Dear Kevin, tell your colleagues out in the field about what is going on here. Yesterday I got a reply on my support request that it is a problem with the HDMI port and I should return my NUC for repair under warranty. Sigh, I already did that once and got a new one back (after 4 weeks) with the same problem...
My guess is that something goes wrong in the DHCP handshaking.
