My CPU is Intel core-i7 3770k with HD 4000 graphic chip, machine is running Windows 8 64 bit. Up until a few days ago, driver version on HD 4000 was 9.18.10.3257. It was then updated to 10.18.10.3345, that's when machine became unstable, with programs crashing and machine restarting out of blue. Ironically Windows Update also showed an update for HD 4000, thinking that would solve the stability problem, I updated to that driver, and driver version is now 10.18.10.3379. Unfortunately, stability problem did not improve, so my next plan of action is to revert back to 9.18.10.3257. So far that's been unsuccessful. I have uninstalled HD 4000 driver 3 times, but with each restart of computer, it's the same 10.18.10.337 driver. The strange thing is that on one of the uninstall, I checked the driver version under Device Manager before restarting the computer, and it actually showed 9.18.10.3257, but as soon as machine restarted, it's back to 10.18.3379 again. Does anybody know how to roll back driver for HD 4000? Thank you.
